Rockler Analysis pg. 14

In this portion of the article, I agree with Rockler's opinion. It appears that the whole argument between Angela and the women of color group is that the hyenas in the lion king are not all necessarily black just because we know that the voice of one of them is black. It doesn't make any sense for every single hyena to be black if we didn't even hear them talking. We shouldn't base our characters off of their voices if we can't even see their faces. Personally, I don't think that just one hyena's voice determines the race of hundreds of hyenas. Especially when the other hyena voice we hear talking is played by a Hispanic person. Newsberger was wrong in assuming that all of the hyenas in the lion king were black just because Whoopi Goldberg played one of the head hyenas.
