The top line of this blog are the theory and techniques guides for COMM 273. Along the left column you can see links to student work. Students post their public work here for COMM 273, Media and Popular Culture class at TLU.
This is a very well organized table! Now you should elaborate more. What does the difference in time between/in panels tell you as the reader? The first panel (on the right) seems stretched-in both time and size. What does that mean to you? You have a good foundation here.
There is definitely a progressive change in abstraction, it could symbolize that as Loki's story is told they become more realistic to the reader, or it could symbolize an increase emotional bond with the character and their harsh situation. Along with abstraction, you could further elaborate on the different lines used for the characters. You mentioned that the lines in panel 1 are sharp and deadly, which could represent the consequences if Loki ever escaped? In panel 3 you mentioned that there were frail and weak lines which could symbolize the fragility of the system (snake's venom falls into the bowl, bowl gets full, venom falls on Loki's eye, etc). Panel 2 and 3 share a border, there could be a close connection between the snake and the bowl the woman is holding that could be pointed out.
I like how you analyze the different aspects of the page and that your comments are generally short and to the point (especially how you captured time/speed and line descriptions). Now you can go ahead and elaborate more. Perhaps you could compare the level of abstraction and the way the lines are drawn. Then, go ahead and figure out how these aspects change perceptions as you go across the pages.
