**Bonus: 1->3: Action-Action (without the existence of Panel 1, Lucifer is portrayed
to be walking past Cain while speaking to him, and without the existence of Panel 2,
Panel 3 displays that Lucifer has walked past Cain and told him to leave.
Time Frames:
Panel 1: Time seems to slow in this panel as Lucifer references John Milton's book,"Paradise Lost". Also the way Lucifer's body is drawn shows that he is taking his
sweet time to pass and speak to Cain.
Panel 2: Time seems to have no existence or have just completely stopped. We now
focus on Lucifer as it seems that he is talking to himself, and the reader at the
same time.
Panel 3: In this panel, time seems to return to normal as Lucifer sends Cain on his
way back. At the same time, for Cain, time seems to be slowing down as he starts to
fade away slowly
Panel 4: Time continually seems to maintain the same snail pace that Cain had in the
previous panel. Cain fades away slowly, and all we see of him is shaded lines and his
glasses.
Panel 5: As Lucifer flies into the distance, time seems to last an eternity in this panel.
The panel bleeds off the page and is completely behind the other 4 panels. Lucifer's laugh
also bleeds off the page giving a sense of an eternal echo of his laughter.
Line:
Panel 1: The Lines used to draw Cain seem to be unstable. Even though he is under the protectionof God, Lucifer still manages to cause Cain some Physical pain, but moreover causes emotional pain
while he was hovering him over the eternal abyss that is Hell. Lucifer's lines are drawn straight
and have little to no imperfections. This is possibly drawn to show the strength and power that
Lucifer has.
Panel 2: In Lucifer's face, the lines seem to darken and the line shading turns dark throughout
his face. This is done to show the severity or seriousness of this panel. The mood has changed
from Lucifer being sarcastic and witty in the first panel, to dark, mysterious, and serious in his
tone of voice and the angles of the lines.
Panel 3: We return to look at Cain in Panel 3 as the likes become more unstable. He is fading from
existence as Lucifer commands him to leave. Lucifer's line seem to depict that he is deadly with the
line shading in his wings and the rest of his body.
Panel 4: Again, Cain is almost completely gone from existence and he is his most unstable form. As for Lucifer, he watches Cain disappear and his lines show him that he stands strong, confident, awaiting the arrival of Morpheus
Panel 5: Lucifer's line depict a combination of all the panels he was presented in this page. He is strong, deadly, confident, proud. He is the true depiction of power.

**NOTE** Part of Lucifer's wing is hidden behind the 4th panel. I think this is done on
purpose because his other wing is fully outstretched and is shows how large Lucifer actually
is. This gives the reader a sense that Lucifer is mighty and all powerful. He doesn't need
to show both his wings fully extended. He has asserted his dominance onto us. Similar to men
puffing out their chests to show their dominance, Lucifer's wings spread out, taking half of
page. His power is not contained by borders.

himself. This a reference to John Milton's book, "Paradise Lost".
You broke this down into a way that is very easily readable, and everything that needs to be looked for such as the abstraction, lines, or wording can all be found just by how organized you made this. It was a very good analysis of your page and also very descriptive! I also like how you organized it by different panels, so that way you can actually tell what is going on in each panel without even having to look at the page. Pretty Good!
ReplyDeleteI love how you made everything easy to read and understand! I completely agree with your analysis. This page seems to be an ode to Lucifer's dominance and his superiority
ReplyDeleteThis is great. It is simple to understand, yet at the same time goes in depth and analyzes well. This should help when its time for you to give out your speech.
