Sources- Adaptations: Music Videos

Music Videos: Genesis' Land of Confusion, Disturbed's Land of Confusion

Social history:

This article gives a handful of discourse and overall complete rhetoric that had been apprehended within the time of the cold war which is the era that essentially shapes the perception of Ronald Reagan's overall time of presidency by many. This is important within the context of the first particular music video I have in Genesis' Land of Confusion that portrays the struggles of Ronald Reagan in a more comical sense in puppet usage. -->

This specific article goes over how Ronald Reagan's term of presidency had carried a strong perception of how the 1980's are portrayed from many Americans, in particular. There is explanation as well as to how his acts and use of leadership roles had given shape towards it's overall fluctuations and transitional, that were come across throughout the time period or decade. -->

In this article, the reader is given overview on capitalism and the fluctuation of money usage and distinctions that can create several problems for the working class. This holds major relevancy towards my transition from the initial song that Genesis created to the narrative presented in the newer version that the hard rock band, Disturbed, had created within the 2000's. The argument that is made from Disturbed draws upon several outlets of corruption primarily driven by positions of power that arguably dictate the flow of societies. -->

The relevancy of this article within the apparatus distinction between my two pieces of music videos is the direct effects given towards listeners of rock music particularly. The importance of it is held within a viewer of the Disturbed music video, which is a hard rock song. As the ones watching are more connective with the lyrics given and the visuals that then play tribune to the functions of how the music releases its overall message within its new context given in this cover song.
