1
The abstraction level on this panel is a 5, because there are very little details that identify much in the scene.
1-2
Aspect to aspect
I feel like this panel is fast considering it has so few details, it is like it is fading away quickly.
The lines in panel 1 are sharp and straight, the scene is simple so there is very little detail.
N/A
2
The abstraction level on this panel is a 3.5, because Mia’s face has some slight shading on her upper cheeks to show her flustered cheeks.
2-3
Moment to moment
This panel is slow, because Mia has just seen Grace and you can see by her facial expression that she is upset with the situation and sitting on the ground.
The lines on the floor are sharp and straight, while the lines on Mia are rounded
Additive relationship, because Mia saying Grace’s name adds to the dismay on her face.
3
Mia has an abstraction level of 3.8, while Grace has an abstraction level of 4. Mia in this panel, has the same cheek shading as the previous panel, but also tears. Grace in this panel is covering her face by burying it in her lap, the details on her clothing are enough to identify detail.
3-4
Moment to moment
This panel is slow, because Mia has just moved to sit down next to an also crying Grace and they begin to have a conversation.
The lines on panel 3 are rounded on both Mia and Grace, while the lines on the floor are straight on the floor just as in panel 2.
Duo relationship, because Mia is physically comforting Grace with her hand on her shoulder while also asking her if she is okay.
4
In this panel, Mia has an abstraction level of 3.8 and Grace has an abstraction level of 3.4. Mia has shadings on her cheeks and tears, while Grace has a furrowed brow and tears that shows her dismay.
4-5
Subject to subject
I feel like this panel is slow because Mia and Grace are having a real time conversation while also crying.
The lines on panel 4 are rounded, thin and curved throughout Mia and Grace’s crying faces and even in the sky background. These lines may represent the mood of the page which is very solemn.
Additive relationship, because the picture helps the reader know the emotions behind the text provided.
5
This panel has an abstraction level of 3.6, because Mia has details such as the lines between her brows, tears, and lines on her hands.
N/A
This panel is fast, because it is simply Mia exclaiming one sentence.
The lines in panel 5 are rounded and thin on Mia’s face.
I think that this panel is interdependent, because both the picture and text are their own personal entity. “Okay. Um, okay.” is not enough text to be supported without this picture, and Mia crying is not enough to know what her text would be.

I think you did great overall, and I agree with you with everything you put. I think you could make an argument with how the lines give off an emotional feeling towards the characters.
