Stephen King’s the movie IT 1990 vs 2017/2018

Genre

The genre for these movies are horror/ thriller in the 90s and the 2000s all surrounding people’s worse fear clowns. These sources help describe the background of the movies from the original to the remake and the process it involves from making something that first started in the 90s to now in the 20th century.

Social history

The social history for both these movies is when it was made and debuted. One is in the 1990s where it was first introduced as the “creepy clown”, while for 2017 and 2018 film there was already a clown panic in 2016 so these movies coming out right after that makes it even creepier and scarier.
