I will be using this article to the talk about how the updated version of Aladdin wanted to avoid the cultural inaccuracies and insensitive that the 1992 animated version fell into, such as depicting the street-market sellers of Agrabah as greedy and grotesque. This article also discuses the representation of the diversity of the Middle Eastern and South Asian worlds.
