The Spongebob Squarepants Movie vs Game







Main Focus: In the movie, SpongeBob sets off on a mission with his closest friend Patrick to find King Neptune's stolen crown and clear Mr. Krabs' name.


Genre: live-action/animated comedic adventure


Social History: Stephen Hillenburg wanted to create a movie of a show that a lot of people loved during the time so that those people could enjoy and be immersed in SpongeBob's adventure.



Ideology: SpongeBob and Patrick embrace their unique personalities and don't allow others to define them by their age or status.











Main Focus: The SpongeBob video game is aimed at younger audiences and includes educational components to help teach fundamental ideas while still being entertaining.

Social History: Early in the new millennium, SpongeBob video games made their debut. The fun and charm of the TV series were often attempted to be captured in these games, which were frequently platformers or adventures. Early releases included games like "SpongeBob SquarePants: Super Sponge" and "SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom".



Ideology: This SpongeBob games' main ideology was to properly mimic the setting and cast of the SpongeBob SquarePants TV show. The goal of the game was to create an environment that had the same comedy, eccentricity, and charm as the show.
