1.     Newsies Historical Context This will help give context to how the newsies came to be and how the kids stood out against the big guys and they fought for their voice to be heard.  

2.     Newsies Wiki here it explains both the broadway musical and the movie musical. That is important because there is a few major changes between love interests and the reporter which make a big difference for both.

3.     Katherine Plummer Newsies Wiki this explains the main love interest in the Broadway version and she is very important because she is a huge factor and help bring woman empowerment during her time.
