- Maleficent's wings are a constant and evil looking
- Maleficent is the evil sorceress of the land who has nothing but evil intentions for the kingdom and the King
- Maleficent is hell bent on destroying Aurora
- True love's first kiss is the key to breaking the curse of eternal slumber , Phillip
- Maleficent is killed and everyone lives happily ever after
MALEFICENT - 2014
- Maleficent was played by Stefan who took her wings to become king
- Maleficent's wings are beautiful and powerful. She doesn't regain them till the end of the film.
- Stefan is a very deceitful human being
- Maleficent was actually a peaceful fairy
- Maleficent put the curse on Aurora with the twist that true love doesn't exist in her mind Aurora has known Maleficent her whole life as her protector , not her destroyer
- Maleficent actually lives and relinquishes the forest of all the magical impurities she had cast and becomes the protector once again with Aurora ruling the kingdom
I think that this is a good start in looking at the differences between the two films. I think it could be interesting to compare the differences of Milificent and why they made her different than the first film. Why was she cold and dark in the original film, but beautiful in the second film. Also, why did they switch the King and Malificent, in a way that made them the opposite of how they were in the original film? You could focus on the different time periods and why they would want to portray the woman in a better light then the man.
