When
comparing pages 66 and 67 to the online version, I see that the author may be
showing Empathy’s aggressive nature. However, in the book we think she is
playing in a game and getting super aggressive with an opposing player. In the
online version she is just in a practice with her teammates. I think this is to
illustrate that Empathy is very angry or overly aggressive

Maybe, enlarge your photo a bit. I like how you negotiate with panel transaction. I like how you change the line up a little rather than warm and gentle. Maybe explain why you think this. Good job.
ReplyDeleteBesides that your images are small, I must say that you were able to show me the aggressive nature in on your first page. Yet I want to see if you think on page 66 panel three line are not warm and gentle but try and see them as dynamic and changing. Not saying you are wrong, but to show the intensity of the moment.
ReplyDeleteI believe that your analysis of the panels so far are correct. I would love to see you elaborate on this argument throughout your chapter as well as compare this to rest of the book. Especially since this is really one of the only time we observe Empathy's anger and her strength. I think you could talk about how this is a foreshadowing of empathy being a killer and violent person.
ReplyDeleteYour images are kinda small, and when zooming in, it made them kind of blurry. However, having each category of data separated and then labeled by panel made it very easy to read. I really like how you did that and I actually may do mine the same way. I like how you focused on the lines in their faces on the third panel of page 66. Your analysis was very detailed, as well as the comparison to the online comic.
