Staying true to who you are: In this version, the main message is to always be yourself. Aladdin ends up with Jasmine in the end because he is himself and isn’t pretending to be someone that he is not. In this version, the marriage law is changed by Jasmine’s father so that she can marry Aladdin, and he becomes Sultan.

Social History: women cannot be successful without men by their side. Also, women should not and could not be in high positions of power.
Staying true to who you are: In this version, the main message is to always be yourself. Jasmine fell for Aladdin because he was different from her other suitors. In this version, Jasmine becomes Sultan and then changes the marriage law so that she can marry Aladdin.


Social History: women can be successful without men by their side. Women also have a voice and can hold high positions of power.
