It's been a long time since I last saw 'Black Panther' so I can't remember the context of this scene. You could try and form a thesis about how scene lighting affects the viewers experience. In this case, the Black Panther fight scenes. You say during those fight scenes side lighting is used. What kind of emotions does that bring out in the viewer? Would those emotions change if the lighting used in those fight scenes was overhead/underhead/straight on? Would the scene feel less dangerous?
ReplyDeleteThe Table was very informative. I feel like you could add into your thesis how the close up and high shots help to tell the importance or power of black panther because I do remember he wins this fight scene. The lightening also help to give you a clear view on him
ReplyDeleteI had to go and find the scene in the film so it might be good to give a little more context before jumping straight into the scene in the longer thesis. The chart gives us a good idea of what we are looking at and the technical side of things. I believe that you could add more meaning to what you have pointed out by telling what each shot is showing us emotionally and who holds the power. For example, in the first shot when they show the bird's eye angle, why are they showing that to us? What does that make us feel and how do they use symmetry in that shot.
