                                                    Analyzation of Creed

In the training scene of Creed, he is found training in the hospital while taking care of rocky. I feel like this scene wanted to portray a “job must get done” type of situation. Because time stops for no one. Later on he trains in an actual gym as you can hear the trumpets in the background signaling triumph in the near future. To finish the scene, the whole neighborhood comes out on dirt bikes while “lord knows” by meek mill plays in the background. This scene along with the song alone makes you want to immediately workout and gives you the “lets get it done” mindset. So ultimately, you feel like you can tackle anything life throws at you right now. Seeing the neighborhood ride behind him symbolizes that they’re with him through the hard times.

  1. I really liked that you used a Gif. I think your thesis is really good. I agree that the scene gives you motivation because he has completed a training ( I think )

  2. I think a thesis question you could approach to this would be, how the angles and the sounds in the film show how intense and elaborate training to box truly is. I also think that is what is trying to be conveyed in this scene and that could be a great way to talk about that and how this scene shows how intense boxing training really is.

  3. I love that you picked this scene, the most motivating shot in the whole movie. The zoom shot when we get a few seconds of a close-up on his face, we get a good look of that crazed look in his eyes. Similar to what we saw in Kobe's face when he was taking over a game, just pure, zoned-in, maniac expression. Maybe one thing to bring up about the bikes is we get a shot of the kid who stopped outside the gym and asked him if he was Creed's son before taking off and popping a wheelie.
