Analyzing Black Panther

                     Analyzing Black Panther

In this scene T’Challa and Killmonger are fighting to see who the king of Wakanda will be. In this scene they wanted to make it look as intense as possible and serious. They had the two of them going back and forth fighting each other. Making it look like it was an even match at first. Then when Killmonger starts to take over they show T’Challa’s family and friends on the screen and they look worried. Then when Killmonger stabs T’Challa on the side and pushes him to the ground. Killmonger then goes to finish him but then Zuri stops him and tells him that he is responsible for Killmonger’s father’s death. Zuri did this to protect T’Challa because he knew he had made a mistake from all those years ago and did not want T’Challa to get killed for that. Killmonger then stabs Zuri and then you see all his friends and family in pain. Then while T’Challa is in pain and mourns over Zuri he then tries to kill Killmonger but T’Challa is just too weak. So, then Killmonger makes a speech about “is this your king” and punches him to the ground. Then having his friends and family in pain and knowing what is about to happen. Then Killmonger gets T’Challa on his back and throws him down the cliff into the water fall for what he thinks is his death. Then having his friends and family in pain and scared for their new king Killmonger.

  1. This blog is really good so far! I was able to understand what was going on and the chart helped me analize the picture better. I don't have any pointers or questions about this blog so far.

  2. I haven't seen 'Black Panther' in a long time, so it was very helpful that you gave a rundown of the scene! You could form a thesis about how film shots affect the way a viewer experiences a movie.
