Thesis -Alladin 1192 vs 2019
Thesis : The creation of a Feminist Jasmine by the directors is to adjust to the new demands and way of thinking of people in 2019. This used ideology to allow girls feel empowered in contrast to the original Disney Production.
This is a nice place to start, but I'd like to see a bit more of the differences between 1992 and 2019 Jasmine. Is it only that she's a feminist, or are there other changes as well (added depth to character, plot relevance/involvement, etc.)? Also, is the portrayal of Jasmine as a feminist icon a good one, or does it fail in certain regards? Above all else, how do these changes coincide with our society changing over time?
