Thesis Statement For Pet Sematary

My thesis about these two films is centered around the idea of how grief and sorrow can really push a man to his limits and how desperate he will become to try and save his family from the inevitable, which in this case is death. When people experience loss and tragedy, the burial ground feeds off of their grief, exerting a sense of power and temptation for them to use it, egging them on if you will

  1. I've never seen these movies, but sounds good. Don't forget to reflect on the impacts of things such as difference in genre, time period, or cultural impacts.

  2. If the thesis is centered around Pet Sematary showcasing grief and desperation, has the time period affected how this was done in each film? Are there significant shifts in character relations, genre, action, themes, questions of morality, etc.? If so, can they be adequately explained through cultural shifts over time? What the burial ground represents could have potential, although there are many angles that can be taken and I'm not familiar with the movies.
