I won't lie. I find this page difficult to interpret. If I were you, I would pick a different page to interpret and find meaning in. Nevertheless, you may have already found an interpretation that I am unaware of. In my interpretation of this scene, the detail of the female characters seems to be important. I believe that this is the author's way of emphasizing female body image, especially since the youngest female character seems to be interested in her own body image.
It seems as though there is a potentially significant link between the characters Luba and Carmen in this page. The eerily similar hairstyles may be a way of hinting at the kind of person Carmen is aspiring to be like, especially in terms of gaining a more feminine figure. Perhaps discuss these details, or others that you have found.
I agree with most of your McCloud analyzations. It's interesting that two of the characters in this page are pregnant, while the child, Carmen, is trying to show off her body. Growing up, Carmen is looking up to women who are only seen for their bodies. She, however, is still inspired to look better than them. The only man in the scene pays hardly any attention to the pregnant women, which could strengthen the idea that men only use women and abandon them when commitment is involved.
