| The primary reason I chose these pages was actually because of the smooth flowing lines and the emphasis on soothing contrast with the tense situation being presented | Moment to Moment | In this panel the time elapsed is very short seconds pass in the frame and between them. | "Just..." "I'm so tired" "Just" Depicted is Mia talking mostly to herself in a time of stress. |

I think you did a good job on this analysis, I agree with you completely. this helped me understand more about this assignment.
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned in the lines analysis about the smooth backgrounds lines contrast the tense situation. 1). This could be an argument about no matter how calm things are there is always something lingering/nagging you (the tense situation). 2). Or the opposite that you can always find a way to stay calm or find something that can calm you even when it feels like everything is to tense. This second possible argument can also relate to the words. How at first she stuttered on her words but was then able to keep it together enough to ask the fox thing to take her back to her friends.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your analysis about the lines, I do think that the softness of the lines contrast with the tense moment, but I also feel like it matches Mia's weakening health. It's interesting how the panels are so short yet the ellipses indicate brief pauses within her speech.
