Many individuals have come to know and love the 1992 classic version of Aladdin, as well as the remake in 2019. Both versions bring awareness to middle eastern culture and the new version specifically points out female empowerment. By examining both movies, I want to address how the original movie misrepresented some cultural scenes and how the new version made up for this while also adding in the topic of female empowerment. Did the newer version help represent scenes that the original version was lacking and were they effective for the audience?

Good start, I would recommend doing research on attitudes towards the Middle East at the time of each movie's production/release. This would also deal with stereotyping and cultural acceptance between the two time frames. This also applies to the discussion of female empowerment: why does it occur the way it does in the respective movies? Do they shift with culture?
