In the 1995 Jumanji film there are two scenes where the board game is introduced in two different times. In both times the game remains in “board” form. The game is found by two children in both scenes. In this film the game seems to have come to the real world once the started rolling the dice, however Allan Parrish was sucked into the game.

In the 2017 version of Jumanji the board game is changed into a gaming counsel which is found by four high schoolers. The high schoolers are all sucked into the game giving us the inside look of the games inner world.
