Abusers of human and animals

What is the biggest connection in animal abuse cases? Domestic violence. Reports found that animals were abused and killed by the attacker before they went after there human subjects.

My passion behind this topic is due to my involvement in animal rescue at an early age. From rescuing abused barrel racing horses to abandoned dogs, pet abuse has been something I have grown up seeing. With animal shelters being constantly at full vacancy with animals that are so abused no one wants them. The public can see the demand for animal abuse to be stopped.

Hypothesis: Those who abuse animals turn into domestic abusers because the develop a false sense of confidence when abusing something that can't verbally testify against them.

Data: The data I will be using is qualitative. I will be using abuse cases, research articles, and literature reviews. These articles and reviews are accessible online, the data directly correlates with my topic because the research is specifically for it.

Tools: I will be analyzing the date by the scope of my topic. I will dissect the links between animal and human abuse. What causes these abusive traits in humans. How we can stop the violence, and propose an idea to how we can actively prevent abuse and domestic violence.

Because of the pandemic causing people to spend more time together and in a condensed area, domestic violence and animal abuse cases have risen. My research will be important in identifying ways we can prevent abuse when victims are not able to get a break or space from their abuser. I will also look to identify the critical reason that causes the attacker to become more aggressive.

My purpose here is to create a plan that we can implement to prevent abuse by teaching how to look for the signs, interact if you do sense abuse,  rescue, and rehabilitate those who abuse and have been abused.

While this is an extremely sensitive topic, and can be hard to help victims because of the fear factor. It is an extremely important topic and very relevant to the issues today.
