Here's my breakdown from 2:15 - 4:15 2:16 — Close on TV in apartment living room, eye level, diagetic light and sound, sound offscreen external. 2:18 — Close on guns, a map, and BART schedule on a dining room table, angle eye level, diagetic light, diagetic sound offscreen external. 2:23 — MCU of Zuri’s face and N’Jobu’s hand moving props, angle low, diagetic light, diagetic sound offscreen external. 2:24 — MCU of N’Jobu looking at table, Zuri’s head is cut off at the hair line , angle eye level, diagetic light, diagetic sound onscreen external. MCU of N’Jobu looking up as if alerted, angle eye level, diagetic light, diagetic sound onscreen external. 2:29 — MCU of Zuri looking around and N’Jobu’s hand tapping his shoulder, angle eye level, diagetic light, diagetic sound onscreen external. 2:31 — MCU of N’Jobu with ceiling in background (possibly an indication of being closed in), angle worm view, diagetic light, diagetic sound onscreen external. ***This and the previous shot of N’jobu are very similar except in the slight upward tilt revealing the ceiling behind him. This probably indicates that someones closing in on him. ***The following is a SERIES OF SHOTS (SOS) put together to show the viewer the order from N’Jobu to put away the weapons. 2:32 — Close on Zuri’s hands grabbing guns from dining room table, angle eye level, diagetic light, diagetic sound onscreen external. 2:33-34 is comprised of 2 shots with a shot reverse shot edit. 1. MCU of Zuri placing the guns on a shelf and covering them with a false wall. 2. MCU of N’Jobu covering a bulletin board with a tapestry, angle eye level, diagetic light, diagetic sound onscreen external. *** END SERIES OF SHOTS 2:36 — MCU of N’Jobu peering through a blind looking out a window, angle eye level, front lit from the street lamp diagetic light, diagetic sound onscreen external. 2:39 — LS of N’Jobu’s POV high angle of the street looking at the kids play B-ball, street lamp diagetic light, diagetic sound onscreen external 2:48 — MCU of N’Jobu looking at the door, angle eye level, front lit diagetic light, diegetic sound offscreen external SFX: DOOR KNOCK. 2:57 — MS of N’jobu talking to Zuri at the door with a shot reverse shot edit. ***Here for some reason, even though we see the ceiling, N’Jobu commands the space rather than being trapped by it. Almost as if he was prepared for this moment. 3:12-21 — MS of Zuri opening the door with an over the shoulder shot with the 2 Dora Warriors flanking the camera. The camera then tracks them into the room. 3:21— MCU the Dora warriors stand in profile. One behind the other is slightly blurred, angle eye level, diagetic light, photography telephoto, diagetic sound onscreen external. 3:25 — MCU of Zuri walking to N’Jobu angle eye level, diagetic light, diagetic sound onscreen external. 3:27 — MCU the Dora warriors standing with spears angle eye level, diagetic light, diagetic sound onscreen external. 3:36 — CU of N’Jobu exposing his bottom lip to reveal a neon blue tattoo. angle eye level, diagetic light, diagetic sound onscreen external. 3:38 — MCU of Dora stomping their spears in to the floor turns the screen black. SFX: WARBLE 3:40 — CU of the Black Panther, angle eye level, diagetic light, diagetic sound onscreen external. 3:41-48 — MS of N’Jobu kneeling and hitting Zuri to do the same. Angle Low, diagetic light, diagetic sound onscreen external. 3:53 — MCU of Black Panther. Angle eyline match, diagetic light, diagetic sound onscreen external. ***In this sequence, it is established that N’Jobu’s fear/reverence is that of the Black Panther. The angle of shots of the exchange is that regarding a king and his subject. 4:01 — MS Black Panther removing mask with flanking dora warriors to reveal…King T’chaka, N’Jobu’s brother. 4:10-13 MCU of N’Jobu and T’chaka sharing an embrace. Angle eye level, match cut on hugging action, diagetic light, diagetic sound onscreen external. ***This represents that N’Jobu and T’chaka are brothers first, rather than king and subject. Here it is in chart form:
