Fantasy

This article is about how the genre of fantasy has changed in film since its first appearance in 1896 with the short film The Cabbage Fairy. It also talks about how it progressed in the years after and talking about the Golden Age Hollywood with its most successful films in the early sound era of Dracula, King Kong and The Wizard of Oz. Also including the new era of Walt Disney with its  first full film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Now Disney’s rival is Studio Ghibli with their films My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away.

Romance

This article is about how much the romance genre has changed over the years. It said that it has changed the most out of all the genres. It talks about how the female lead is always being rescued and that they depend on a man to save them/ protect them. Now films have changed. The female lead is more independent and learns to fall in love on her own time and the male lead isn’t always saving her but helping to build her up and the female role is now more focused on helping the male role change and grow.
